About the u3a AI Subject Advisor and AI for Everyone Project Team
The AI Subject Advisor and the u3a AI for Everyone Project team aim to help individual u3a members and local u3a groups understand the transformational nature of AI, both good and bad, and, for those that are interested, why and how to use the type of AI that allows us to have natural language conversations with an Artificial Intelligence. To achieve these aims we have created a number of resources which are detailed on this page.

AI Newsletter
If you just wish to be kept informed about AI in the u3a then sign up to our newsletter. We typically send out an AI Newsletter once a month and highlight forthcoming u3a AI events, new and interesting library additions and major industry announcements. AI Whatspp Group
Our Whatsapp group, moderated by Glenys Hart, is for anyone that wants to setup or run a local AI group, class or workshop. The group enables you to network with other u3a members exploring AI. Contact the Subject Adviser at the top of this page to be added to the group.
AI Agitators
We also support a monthly Zoom discussion group through Interest Group Online (IGO). This is for members who are championing AI awareness and understanding in their local u3as. The group acts as a forum for sharing ideas, discussing new developments in AI, exchanging practical advice on running local activities, and exploring both the benefits and the challenges of this rapidly changing technology. AI for Everyone Project Team
Our AI for Everyone project team is a team of about 10 people who have volunteered to help u3a members beyond their local u3a understand and or benefit from AI.
This group provides content for our AI for Everyone Library, delivers the AI News monthly zoom talks , issues the news letter, runs regional and National AI events and supports individual u3as on their AI Journey.
If you wish to be a member of the group please contact the Subject Adviser via the link at the top of the page. If you enjoy organising events, writing newsletters or being a librarian, your expertise would be most welcome. If you enjoy demystifying technology then we are always looking for more content creators and editors for our library.
